Surrey Model - A Council for Voluntary Service with integrated Volunteer Centre
Most members of the Surrey CVS Network are Councils for
Voluntary Service (CVS) organisations with integrated Volunteer
Centres. While the CVS side of each organisation will mean
subscribing to the standards of service set by NAVCA (National
Association for Voluntary and Community Action) - each
Volunteer Centre is a member of Volunteering England and
subscribes to minimum standards of service delivery as set
out in the Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation System.
The Benefits of a Volunteer Centre
Volunteer Centres provide support at a local level for individual volunteers
and volunteer involving organisations.
The six core functions of a Volunteer Centre are:
